Ich war gestern Abend Eragon gucken und ich muss wirklich sagen, dass ich ihn mochte. Ich muss jedoch dazu sagen, dass ich, hätte ich den Film im Alter von 12 Jahren gesehen, noch um einiges begeisterter gewesen wäre. Es ist ein großartiger Fantasy Kinderfilm, die Geschichte ist wunderbar erzählt, man findet keine tiefgehenden Dialoge oder verworrene Handlungen, es gibt eine große Heldengeschichte mit vielen großartigen Charakteren darum. Ähnlich wie das Buch, dass Author Christopher Paolini im Alter von 15 Jahren zu schreiben begann, ist der Film relativ einfach strukturiert und einige Szenen kamen mir doch relativ bekannt vor.

Aber ich werde jetzt nicht anfangen in die üblichen Kritiken einzustimmen, ich wurde großartig unterhalten, viele wunderbare Fantasy Klischees wurden wunderschön bedient, ich saß teilweise mit glänzenden Augen im Kino und dachte an meine ersten Bücher die ich rund um Ritter und Magier gelesen habe. Jeremy Irons, den ich schon in Dungeons & Dragons großartig fand, passt einfach perfekt in die Fantasywelt und obwohl der Gedanke eines Drachens mit hoher weiblicher Stimme gewöhnungsbedürftig klingt, lieferte Rachel Weisz eine sehr gute Leistung als Stimme von Saphira.

Fazit: Eragon schafft es nicht, gegen die übermächtige Konkurrenz von Lord of the Rings und Chronicles of Narnia zu bestehen, aber ich glaube auch nicht, dass dies beabsichtigt war. Vielmehr werden genau die jungen Fantasybegeisterten angesprochen, die in Harry Potter einen freundlichen Drachen und wilde Magie, die eben nicht in strengen Schulen unterrichtet wird, vermisst haben. Eragon macht Spaß und zeigt eindrucksvoll, welche unglaubliche und großartige Geschichten computer generierte Grafikcharaktere erzählen können…. will sagen: I like the graaaaaphics!

Robcast is personal again. Hier ist Folge 3 meines Podcasts, diesmal mit unglaublich guter Tonqualität. Habe mir ein neues Mikrofon gekauft, um dann festzustellen, dass die schlechte Qualität mit einem Defekt meiner Soundkarte zusammenhang. Habe den gesamten Podcast am Notebook aufgenommen und siehe da, geile Quali.

Die mehr als geile Station ID hat Jens beigesteuert, wofür ich mich nochma sehr bedanke. Ich werde versuchen für zukünftige Podcasts noch mehr Leute ranzukriegen. Der Song der am Ende des Podcasts läuft heißt Fallen Leaves und ist vom neuen Billy Talent Album. Link weiter unten.

Oh… oh… oh my f*** god. This is so amazing. The new Burning Crusade Cinematic Intro simply kicks ass. It makes me already want to start crying as I recently decided to quit World of Warcraft forever. I can only hope for a third part of the Diablo series… those Blizzard guys are unbelievably great artists.

I GOT IT! Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii. And its sooooo much fun. I was waiting at the MediaMarkt from 8:30 till 10, was number 2 in the queue and I ran there as soon as the doors opened, as fast as I could. Check out the first impressions on my Flickr.

So far I played Tennis, Boxing, Baseball and Call of Duty 3 and they all kick freaking ass! More to come soon.

I’ve been to the theater on Saturday to see Scoop. It was not planned but as I want to see Casino Royale there was no other good movie left. I happened to be my very first Woody Allen movie. I can’t even say why I missed all his other work, all I can say right now is, that I loved this one. Scarlet Johansson starred as a beautiful innocent journalism student, Woody Allen as fake-father and Hugh Jackman as a charismatic millionaire (though he’ll always be Wolverine to me). I won’t give away any spoilers, I just have to say how hilariously funny the movie was. Allen improvised so many jokes in very fast and beautiful dialogs. A a great story, a surprising end and definitely not my last Woody Allen movie.

PS: Little offside trivia here. Hugh Jackman’s father in the movie, was played by Julian Glover, who I saw the last time starring in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as Walter Donovan. The funny ting about his appearance is this is: if you’ve seen the Indiana Jones movie, you’ll remember the last scene where Walter Donovan is drinking from the wrong Grail and ages within seconds. When he appeared in Scoop he looked EXACTLY as old as in Indiana Jones right before he turned into dust. I was so shocked the very moment I saw him that a loud “WOAH” slipped and people around started looking at me.
