Thank you Gene Roddenberry

40 years ago something amazing started on TV. So amazing that after 40 years it its fame is still growing. Something that enriched millions of lifes, created its own universe with a story deeper than anything else every conceived by mankind.

Hell yeah, I am speaking of Star Trek and the nerd in me is crying tears now. On September 9th 1966 the first Episode of Star Trek aired. I’d like to send a big thankyou to Gene Roddenberry for one of the greatest sci-fi stories I ever experienced.

Today Star Trek is by far the biggest Sci-Fi universe with thousands of unique characters, stories, technologies and fans. And although I’d like to punish Kate Mulgrew (Cpt. Kathryn Janeway) for ruining the entire storyline of the U.S.S. Voyager, I can definitely say that Star Trek was and still is one the best things if not in deed THE BEST thing that ever happened to TV in general.

Update: I just found out that William Shatner is too afraid to travel to space. Nice.
